Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I need an ultrasound?

An ultrasound answers three important questions:

  1. How far along am I?
  2. Is the pregnancy viable?
  3. Where is the pregnancy located?

The answers to all three questions are needed before you can make a decision about your pregnancy options. Whether you’re considering abortion, adoption, or parenting, you’ll need the information an ultrasound provides.

How do I know if I am pregnant?

While there are common signs of pregnancy, the only real way to know if you’re pregnant is by taking a pregnancy test and getting an ultrasound.

The pregnancy test will measure your hCG (pregnancy hormone) levels to indicate a pregnancy.

The ultrasound will answer important questions about the pregnancy, such as viability. Since 1 in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage, you may not be pregnant.

We provide both services at our clinic, so schedule your no-cost appointment to get the answers you need today!

What are the signs of an STD?

Whether you’re in a monogamous relationship or have had a number of partners, it’s important to get tested for STDs regularly.

Many STDs don’t have noticeable symptoms, so can exist without you knowing. They can cause harm to your body and reproductive organs, though, so you’ll want to detect them as early as possible.

Here are some common STD symptoms according to Mayo Clinic:

  • Clear, white, greenish, or yellowish vaginal discharge
  • Discharge from the penis
  • Strong vaginal odor
  • Vaginal itching or irritation
  • Itching or irritation inside the penis
  • Pain during sexual intercourse
  • Painful urination

If you’re experiencing any of the above symptoms, you should get tested for STDs right away.
